A gift of peace of mind
Give someone you love a second pair of eyes on their email.
When something arrives that they're not sure about, they forward it to us — and within a few minutes we reply in plain language telling them whether it looks safe or whether to be careful.
When they open your gift, we'll ask them to save a card so the service can keep running after your gift ends. We won't charge it while the gift is active, and we'll email them three times before any charge — about two weeks before, three days before, and the day before — so it is never a surprise.

Hi Mom,
you@example.com has given you 60 days of tro-net.
tro-net is a service that helps you tell which emails are real and which ones might be a scam. When something arrives that you're not sure about, you forward it to us — and within a few minutes we reply, in plain language, telling you whether the email looks safe or whether to be careful.
Your short note appears here, if you wrote one.

Questions before you buy
The questions a thoughtful gifter actually asks first.
Will this look like a scam to my parent?
The subject line says it's a gift from your email address — the one you give us at checkout — not "Claim your prize" or anything that sounds like spam. The message tells them who sent it and why, in plain language. There's a single, plainly-labelled link to get them set up, and a quiet way to decline it if they'd rather not accept.
We tested the wording on the audience this product is built for. If anything ever feels off, write to help@tro-net.com and a real person will reply.
What happens when the gift runs out?
When they open your gift, we ask them to save a card on file so the service can keep running after the gift ends. We do not charge that card while the gift is active.
About two weeks before the gift ends, again three days before, and one more time the day before, we send them a plain email letting them know a charge is coming and what it will be — so it is never a surprise.
If they would rather not continue, they can remove the card from their account before the charge, or cancel any time from their account page. If they do nothing, the service simply continues at our regular monthly rate.
Not sure how this will feel for the person you're gifting? Write to help@tro-net.com and a real person will walk you through it.
Can I cancel before they redeem?
Yes. If you bought it by mistake — wrong email, second thoughts — email us at help@tro-net.com and we'll refund you so long as the recipient hasn't already accepted it. Once they've redeemed, the gift is theirs and we can't take it back.
What does the recipient have to do?
They open one email, click one button, pick the address they want to forward suspicious emails to, and save a card so the service can keep running after the gift ends. No password reset, no install. We won't charge the card while the gift is active, and we'll email them three times before any charge.
From then on, they just forward anything that looks fishy and read the plain-language reply we send back.
What if they already have an account?
They can still accept the gift — it adds the days you bought on top of whatever they have. If they're already a subscriber, those gift days kick in once their current billing period ends, so you're never paying for time they've already paid for.
